Build Assertiveness & Feel Empowered to Manage Difficult Behaviour
Don't worry, you don't need to wear lycra - though you will be MASSIVELY encouraged if you choose to!
In our professional and personal lives, we don't always see eye to eye.
How do we find the courage to assertively express ourselves, and have conversations with people we find difficult?
In this workshop, you will:
- Understand your own relationship with 'conflict', and how this impacts you emotionally and physically.
- Learn how to confidently ask for what you want, and how to develop - and stick to - your boundaries.
- Learn how to handle common difficult behaviours such as competitiveness and passive-aggressiveness, in a way that leads to the most positive result for you.
- Understand how to prepare yourself emotionally to have a difficult conversation with someone.
- Become equipped to raise an issue with someone in a brain-friendly way.
- Confidently navigate a difficult conversation without getting derailed or the problem escalating.
This is an interactive workshop, featuring creative activities, role-plays and reflective writing exercises in a non-judgmental, encouraging group environment.
You can take part as much or as little as you like, and will be supported throughout to practice the tools you learn.
By the end of this course, you’ll feel empowered with fresh insights, new skills and practical strategies to assertively have an effective conversation with someone whose behaviour you find difficult.
This workshop is for anyone who:
- Finds it hard to voice their needs, enforce boundaries, or navigate difficult behaviour.
- Struggles to discuss an issue without it either falling flat or leading to an argument (or worries that it will!)
- Avoids confrontation, even if it harms them.
- Has trouble prioritising their own needs and priorities above other people's.
- Wants to take part in an enjoyable, empowering course, make new friends and build confidence along the way.
